embering

i find it tiresome to clean up my room.
mostly, i usually mess up myself with rubbish that i value so much..

things as simple as stirrer from a coffee shop..
feather i found from a trek.
a small useless rock.
sands from different beaches.
paper cups!
threads.
creameries, sugars and empty sachets..
expired tea bags.
torn tickets.
wood bark, dried leaves and sallowy flower.
a mere post it with writtings from a friend.
priority number from an establishment with slow paced service.
pliers, cuttleries and rusty needles.
and a whole bunch of papers that might have brought a 1 sq/m forest back to life.

i don't know why i'm still keeping them for atleast four years..

and then the memories of each item struck me to reminisce.
each item associates me with the past i've been through.
i guess im a person who found joy in simple things
and i want to carry them with me wherever..

whenever.

Vagina Monologues: fabulous!

by: Eve Ensler

The 2nd restaging of the Vagina Monologues was a huge success! All kinds of "moans" reverberated inside Casino Filipino Cebu Teatro, Waterfront Hotel where hundreds of audiences wowed by the excellent performances of Cebuano thespians.. Too bad I wasn't able to get the names of the casts and hopefully my admiration will give justice to their well internalized 3D characterization.

Kudos to all..

Upon wandering around the hotel's lobby i remembered how i was able to score the ticket. It was a day during one of our training when Mitzi, a wonderful mentor of ours, surprised me with a complimentary ticket... I can't measure how ecstatic i was by then. I thank her more than i could and subconsciously being grateful with Ray Ordoo. i knew he originally gave several tickets for his co-trainors for he is the main organizer/director of the production..

Thank you Ray.. I was about to congratulate you but you were pre-occupied during the pre and post production. Saludo ko!

To all humans who have their vagina,
you are definitely fabulous!

fed up

It took me some time to let everything that transpires to sink in..
I must say I've been through a lot these past months and I'm totally fed up.

here are the things that recently happened..

just had my "pre-graduation" syndrome. I had six years of elementary, four years of high-school days and four years of college. I need a break! Its killing me!

job hunt! It was really exhilarating to undergo a lot of interviews and mind bugling exams for it really test what you've been through in the past years. Although it really scares the hell out of me but it really improves my confidence and how I relate myself to people.

love death and a new love life! I was desperate. I was at sea. Good thing I was rescued. Never in my life such bad things turns out to be the most wonderful! Thanks for my Sugar who consider me as his Cream in our coffee called LOVE.

leaking "friend ship". I know IM in the verge of breaking our bond. Its just that there are a lot of things that are beyond my control. If only they could know the details of my series of unfortunate events that happened to me these past months. If only they just empathize with me. I still believe of having them (V,C,R and Y) back though. I really pray.

hopes. I still wanna push through my Bachelor's degree. but I know it would take me a lot of effort and "earnings" to materialize such goal. I don't want to have my exhibit unprepared. I can't afford producing mediocre artwork due to financial reasons. Plus I don't want to consider "lack of support" as a confinement of my growth as an artist. It just that sacrifices are inevitable.

I am independent.

Now, all I have to do is just move along. As Haruki Murakami stated it in one of his understated books: "Dance Dance Dance"

mugna

It was late in the evening when I got home. Stack of papers scattered around my room. I pick them randomly and evaluate whether I consider it as still important or a trash that needs to be disposed. A yellow paper caught my eye and begin to check its content. It has a crude sketch of a beach and some captions that tell more about the parchment. It dated back 5 years ago. It was a portrait of a long gone summer.

One could visualize the confusion of the artist's state of being upon observing the drawing. Swirls and crooked lines are imminent in the figures. Heavy and shaky strokes were jotted all over. One could see a juxtaposed horizon which having the sun and the sea kissing eachother. And there is this sole human figure cloaked in black silhouette. Images of the past flooded through me. It reminds of water that never sleeps. Whispering breeze that never fails to sooth one's agitated soul.

I was 16 by then, still struggling about my identity. Who I am and who I'll become to be. Maybe the reason that brought me to this beach was my thirst for identification. I really didn't know I really was. I was too fed up with life's complexity and fear of the unknown. One thing that I really hate is the feeling of being uncertain. I cringe even the idea of being lost.

Tsk!

And so the days unfold on its own. Somehow, unexpected moments tides me by. It always brings seed of experience that germinates within me. I might not as mature as one should be, but I know I'm learning. I keep on growing.

I yawn knowing its past midnight on the clock. Might as well hit the sack and have a great sleep.

am i normal?

It seems that the trend nowadays for discreet gays were to have a girlfriend..

well, i could have..
but i dont want to.

I chose not to be hypocrite.
i rather not be cynical about "social norms"

sickness

I'm sick of people who dont care at all.
People who think they dont need anybody.
They cant be their own island.

Everybody needs somebody.
