expect the unexpected

Upon arrival here in Olango. i was thrilled with the scherzo. There's so much action in the production. Everyone is roaming around and working their asses off on their respective assignments. The setting, the lights, the make-up and so on. And what surprised me most is that i became one of the cast cause they need more talents (for some unexpected reasons). So right there and then, i stripped off and our make-up artists did my costume and make up. whoa, it was: "Ok, go ahead.."

At this time, our director had a company call and we're now heading to our main scene: at the balite.

Heading towards Olango

Ms. B will direct an indie film w/c Russ and Chai will be the main cast. As a supportive friend, I wanna go and see them do their shoot in Olango. Plus Mecca and the gang will be there, so I was thinking it's gonna be a hell lot of fun being there. I might also be of help for the production. So I go ahead and grab my backpack.

I was so damned worried earlier 'cause I woke up so late. For that I hurried up toward Hilton's where there's a wharf for ferry boats to Olango. Good thing I made it just on time for the LAST trip. phew!

heyday

just went inside FA room 229 at HumDiv upon receiving russ' text:

"nandito si Coco Martin sa UP

he's having a talk about Philippine Cinema. do come!"

Even i got work few minutes from then, i went ahead and run towards this room

where russ allegedly inform me mighty Coco is there. God only knows how i'm fascinated with Coco Martin.

but once i came inside, it's empty..

instead I saw Klay2x and Sir Munds with Russ in the studio on the adjoining room, and there's no sign of Coco.

So it turns out Russ just played a prank on me and he just want me to spend some time with the gang.

I dunno how to react but, THE HELL! =)

I was totally flabbergasted and annoyed at the same time. Russ was really crazy! na Putah talaga ako. But as a consolation, we had wine, smoke and a great conversation.

Klay talked about her recent trip to India, while Sir Munds narrates his survival on his near death experience in Iloilo.

t'was a decent and heart warming get together (after not seeing each other due to the long holidays) although it cost me an hour late and another reprimand from my boss.

'twas worth it. and this old room is quite nostalgic. sipping my wine and puffing a cigarrette, i was flooded with heyday memories from cool yeah yeah old days.

few nights before New Year, just came from a ticketing office where i lined up for a couple of hours only to find out (when i finally came face to face with the clerk) that they are already fully booked... here's my facebook shout out that night:

grrrr.. napuputah talaga ako dito sa pier uno.. i spent so much for the taxi fare, stretched my patience (long queue), wasted so much time and effort just to score a ticket to surigao, but it end up they are already fully booked and no advance insuance of ticket for tom's.. i said to myself: like WHAT THE #*-!

................

so to calm my nerves down, went to these places and yes, somehow i attained some peace of mind. so i go ahead and pray to God (uhuh, i'm still that spiritual you know..) that my goal to hit Siargao before January 1 will be materialized.. of which, really happened. As what my old dictum goes: Everything will just fall into place..
